We are all one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have all been called to the same glorious future. There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and there is only one God and Father, who is over us all and in us all and living through us all. However, he has given each one of us a special gift according to the generosity of Christ. That is why the Scriptures say, "When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people."

Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church

is one of the most prestigious and influential churches in Colorado Springs. Emmanuel's vision encompasses a progressive and wide-ranging doctrine, stressing spiritual and personal growth, arts and humanities, and compassionate community outreach. Under the leadership of the church's Senior Pastor, The Reverend Cleveland A. Thompson, Emmanuel has evolved into the model of progressive thinking within the traditional African American Baptist church. In addition to a professional-grade music program, Emmanuel supports an aggressive array of growth and support ministries, including a proactive AIDS ministry, Habitat For Humanity, Share Colorado, Prison Fellowship and other outreach ministries. Forging ahead into this new millennium, Emmanuel continues to set new standards of excellence in ministry.

Welcome To The Latter House

It is with exceeding joy that I welcome you to Emmanuel, a body of believers who feel and know that Christ is the answer to every situation, that in Him we have a new life and a new beginning, new hope and new victories. That in Him we are more than conquerors [Romans 8:37] and through Him we can do all things [Philippians 4:13]. Our online ministry is our first point of contact with many of our friends and permits an ongoing connection with our Emmanuel family twenty-four hours a day.

We welcome and invite you to worship with us Sunday mornings at 7:45 and 10:45 AM, and to study God's Holy Word with us Thursdays at 6:30 PM. Click here for service times and directions. Sister Laura Victor, our Executive Administrator, will be happy to assist you should you need to contact us or make an appointment with the pastor. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

EMBC Children's Church

Emmanuel's Newest Ministry To Its Newest Members!

Emmanuel's Children's Church (ECC) ministers to EMBC's newest (and shortest) members in a safe and spiritually enriching environment. Minister Shannon Jones lead this exciting new addition to EMBC's ministry. eKids Children’s Church is every Sunday EXCEPT 1st Sundays. Plan to arrive early to register your child(ren) so that you will not be interrupted during worship service. Contact Minister Shannon Jones FMI or to register.

Historically Black Colleges Tour

Emmanuel's 2011 tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities is now underway! Our 2011 tour will take place October 8th through the 16th, 2011. The schools will include Grambling State University, Southern University, LSU, Xavier University, Dillard University, Texas Southern University and Prairie View University. Capital Stewardship Campaign

The Promise is Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church's Capital Stewardship Camp-aign, designed to fulfill the Great Commission through Spiritual Development, Com- munity Involvement, and Temple Restoration. The Emmanuel Experience

Beyond The Slogan

The worship experience should not begin and end on Sunday, but continue in our daily lives. We worship God in the way we live (Psalms 19:14), in the things we do, and even in the things we choose not to do (James 1:19). The Emmanuel Experience is, therefore, not about the singing and the preaching and the fellowship so much but about our decision to live lives pleasing to God. It is about our love for one another (1 John 4:7) and about our patience with each other. We welcome you to experience the richness of God's love, and the new life that love can bring.
