Questions And Answers
The How's And Why's of God's Promise
"O Sovereign LORD! You have made the heavens and earth by
your great power. Nothing is too hard for you! You brought
Israel out of Egypt with mighty signs and wonders, with great
power and overwhelming terror." --Jeremiah 32:17, 21
What Is Our Project?
"The Promise” is the transition of our church’s ministry from
today into the future. It is about kingdom building and legacy
building.
Why Are We Doing This Project?
Due to our tremendous and rapid growth, we have out grown our
current facility. Virtually every available space that we have
is currently being fully utilized either for small groups, bible
study, men’s and women’s groups, praise chorale and choir
rehearsal, etc. We care deeply about our worship and yet, there
is a sense that our overflow worship space is not purposefully
worshipful enough to reflect the priority we put on worship
excellence. Our “multi-purpose” space that we use for worship is
just that—multipurpose—to many it excludes others from the rich
atmosphere in our main sanctuary. We are physically bulging at
the seams.

What Will The New Building Include?
Along with much needed space for our worship services, the new
facility will provide additional class rooms. This added space
can be used for bible studies, office space, small groups,
youth, meetings and more. The new facility also has a library
which will provide learning materials for all ages.
What Is The Timeline For The Campaign?
By now you should be aware of the “The Promise” campaign. There
will be opportunities to join in gatherings, fellowship, study
and prayer in the next few weeks. All activities will culminate
on Commitment Sunday, November 14, 2010.
Who Will Benefit From The New Building?
The kingdom of God will benefit most as Emmanuel demonstrates
it’s faith in His future by moving Emmanuel ministries forward.
Our entire congregation will benefit from being able to worship
together in the main sanctuary. Our Emmanuel youth and the youth
of our community will benefit by having a safe place to gather,
play and learn about Jesus Christ. Our music ministries will
benefit by having state of the arts audio/visual equipment and a
place to rehearse and prepare for worship. Our eKids! ministry
will benefit by having more space, a “theater” for worship and
play and an indoor space to share with our youth. Our church
will benefit by having all of the above PLUS additional parking
spaces to accommodate a growing and thriving church.
What Is Our Monetary Goal?
We are believing God to raise $1 million dollars!
How May I Prepare And Participate?
Pray for our campaign, our church, and allow God to speak to
your heart. Attend upcoming events and services that will lay a
spiritual foundation for what God has in store for Emmanuel. You
will be receiving information and materials regularly as the
campaign progresses.
What Kind Of Commitment Will I Be Asked To Make?
There is not a set or expected amount. God blesses each of us
differently, not everyone can give the same. Each person has the
opportunity to give sacrificially above his or her regular
giving. God does not expect equal giving but equal sacrifice.
What About The Economy?
There is no recession in God’s economy. He has asked all
believers to grow His kingdom and He will provide what we need.
He’s been providing for us for over
2,000 years.
What Is Our Project?
"The Promise” is the transition of our church’s ministry from
today into the future. It is about kingdom building and legacy
building.
